Important to know if path to be used is stock menu.txt or menu.txt from within the NewUIs with TDC mod? (All depends on what is enabled/disabled in JSGME at the time. Similar situation like sober posted about snorkel in post #3 of [inf] sobers mega mod). I always used the OptionsFileEditorViewer.exe as TDW suggested. I can not recall in my case YET if the menu.txt was the reasons for my RSD/silentotto. I will certainly keep this thread and especially menu.txt issues in mind. Thanks. |
As long as I don't have these files from Open Horizons
[Shells_Rck.dat, Shells_Rck.dsd, Shells_Rck.sim and Shells_Rck.zon files from Library folder] I do NOT get silentotto crashes for now. Code:

Ok, we shall see later in the day. It never gave me CTDs from evidence in the event logs, but I have everything to gain from the lost time resolving this. I will probably copy more of your modlist, vdr1981, from what you posted last at Open Horizons. One thing I do notice there, I use one or the other of these mods: R.E.M_by_Xrundel_TheBeast_1.2 - no hyd on surface - NewUIs-IRAI compatible R.S.D. & R.E.M. - GHG Hydrophone add-on (no hyd on surface) Never both. |

You forgot CTD for simply sailing!
Yes, all my CTDs are related to simply sailing and (I'm guessing here) some AI unit comes within rendering distance. BANG! CTD and not even an error message, nothing. |

Seriously , you shouldn't use TC larger then 256, even if your hardware is powerful by gaming standards...Maybe on mid Atlantic but near the coast of England forget it... Also save game a lot, that can kill immersion a bit but it can help, en least 10-15 saves per patrols...Did you enabled advanced and experimental patches? |

Loaded OHII v2.3 and patch 1 in the bunker then selected N.W.A. mission. I wanted to see if I could get into Stornoway. Got to the first part of the shallow waters, I wanted to load my tubes early. Clicked on the Torpedo button from the Nav Map, went to select the first tube switch and got a ctd.
