Hello. Great site. Have always been interested in subs. The number 187 has always cropped up somehow into my life and have found some info Re:- U boat 187 captained by Ralph Munnich on the internet. Although he was killed in action on his maiden voyage and some crew captured. 187 Was attacked by HMS Beverley & HMS Vimy. Beverley is the town where I was born. The emblem on the 187 was that of a white horse chosen by Munnich because he met his wife in an inn of that name. Strangley there is also a white horse named inn in Beverley!
