Have you send your christmas wishes to Santa?

It's almost that day of the year, where Santa comes to them, who's been a nice person this year

Let's hear what's on you wish-list to Santa.

Here's mine

A new coffee machine
New Sandals(for indoors use)
Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations
(the wish above cost a lot, so I guess I will not get that one)

That's all. My wish-list isn't so long.

I want my life back.

Jimbuna 11-25-13 04:51 PM

Health and happiness for my family.

I'm hoping for a macro lens for my camera. That and to survive till next Christmas.

I wonder if it is more torturous to not know what your getting, or to know what your getting, but you cannot touch it until xmas, no matter how badly you want to. :O:

I know what I'm getting, its in the factory box, but I can't touch it. The other xmas present is still in the oven, and shouldn't arrive tell the latter end of January.

The list is far too long :)

I gave my self a Christmas gift this year, as I do almost every year.

I gave my self The complete series of DS9

I don't want anything, I don't really need anything, same as last year.

And the year before that.

Apart from maybe a winning lottery ticket*, I'll go for that.

*big bucks, not your usual few dozen pounds.

We buy for the kids and grandkids only.....

Sadly, my wife's mother had a stoke last night, not sure how bad yet, still under observation.....

Best wishes, Armistead

My first married Christmas, 1974, drove my young wife crazy. She asked if I minded if she shook her presents. I said "No, go ahead. Knock yourself out."

She asked if I wanted to shake mine. I said "No, I'm good."

She said "Don't you want to know what's in them?"

I said "Not really. I'll find out on Christmas."

She just couldn't understand why I wasn't the least bit curious. I didn't tell her that when I was little I would sneak out in the middle of the night and shake things, even going so far as to once very carefully untaping and retaping a box that had me curious. I found that after I knew what I was getting it wasn't fun anymore. Also I was terrified that I hadn't retaped it properly and my dad would find out. What he might do was of no concern, only that he would know.

I haven't been curious since. I like surprises. On the other hand the only family I have left don't really talk to me, so I don't do Christmas much anymore.

Sorry to hear that. My grandmother had a mini-stroke a while back

Definitely not good stuff. Hope it gets better.

------

My list

Really all I want is a pre-war Mosin-Nagant M91/30...Doctor Sleep by Stephen King...and Command Authority by Tom Clancy.

GTA III, SA, IV, and/or V would be awesome too....but it's on the bottom of the list.

There are a lot of things I want. Realistically I can go on and on. So I'll just keep it on the most important. Good health and happiness for family and friends.
Armistead, best of luck for your mother in law and wife. You all have my prayers.

When I was a kid, I did the EXACT same thing. Only I got caught. I remember my mom breaking down in tears, and my dad being so angry and disappointed. I never did it again, and to this day, each year, i catch flak for that episode in the form of parental stories to any willing ear.
