PS 4
With the launch of the PS 4 Console (Nov 15th to be exact) i thought i'd include and post some related video clips.
First one is Sony PS4 vs .50 cal - Slow Mo Destruction at 50,000 FPS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dvWGY2bAd0 Second one is South Park - Xbox One vs PS4 (Black Friday) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYbs0firps8 X Box or PS? Who cares. :D EDIT: I'll even add a link to a review of all the 24 games being released with the launch of the PS 4: http://kotaku.com/all-24-of-the-ps4s...1/@charliejane You're welcome. |
Can I play Silent Hunter anything on that console? How about adding mods? No? Not interested then.

I'll probably get both soon. I did the math a while back that says its a good idea to buy early:
A the last console generation lasted for 7 years. If you bought a launch day ps3, over the course of 7 years, the TCO would average down to approximately 23 cents a day. (launch price of 599 divided by 365 * 7) If you bought a PS3 1 year after the price drop, the TCO averages down to 22.6 cents a day. You would save less than 1cent a day! (price drop to 499 divided by 365 * 6) But than, the "marginal happiness" of me enjoying all the new games before everyone else would start to wear off! I still remember the first time I went to my buddy's house to experience new generation consoles. Wii Sports blew my goddamned mind! I don't know which one I am going to buy yet. It boils down to this for me: I want to play shooters: both consoles are equal I want to play hack and slash: slight edge to xbox I want to play sports: edge to playstation I want to play party games (dancing and what not): edge to xbox I want to watch movies and media: slight edge to xbox I want to watch sports: slight edge to xbox I want to play japanese games: edge to playstation I want to play with my friends: i donno yet, depends on what they get isn't it? |
Screw the PS4 for now, lets see if any decent games are out in around 6 months time. And is it true you cant play your PS3 games on it

Looks like I'm tooled up and ready to go.:sunny: |
^LOL...part with some of your dosh to help the games industry if nothing else :)
I do agree with you though...quite happy with my PC. |
All of the above and I built my PC myself so I know what's in there.
X Box will never get another dime out of me when you consider that my first two spent more time in a coffin on a UPS truck than they did in my home. I had a preview of the PS-4 yesterday. It ships with a 500 gig hard drive. It will hold @ eleven games Maybe fewer.:har: It's not worth the money. |
New X box? I just bought my first one ! :D
I will probably wait a couple years and buy an Xbox One used through Cowboom.com for $100 like my Xbox 360. |

dude, you can't think like this. I have a 2000$ PC, its on my desk for serious work and gaming. these consoles are under 500! You can't find me a single PC under 500 that even approaches these consoles in gaming performance. I think about it completely differently now: wanna play the shooter on a couch with a buddy? I go to my console. Wanna play a casual racer? I go to my console. Wanna watch some NFL or MLB on the weekend? I go to my console. When my favorite team is losing, I'll just pull out madden and demolish their team, or start up mlb the show and knock in a few home runs. understand that PC and consoles are competing with a different market. There is no point just saying "my PC is better" all the time, there are use cases where consoles are objectively better PCs are better with RTS games and Simulators, they are objectively better, no need to argue. But consoles are objectively better with sports games (Madden is console only, MLB the Show is a sony exclusive, Fifa is objectively better on next gen consoles with the new engine), fighting games (my favorite Dead or alive is console only. Sony All Stars and Super Smash Bros are exclusive for their consoles), and anything from Japan (PC gaming isn't big there). PCs and consoles are a different experience for me. Even with all the recent developments since the late 90s to move PCs into the living room (tv tuners, ir remotes, windows media center, controller support, Steam big picture) pcs are still a "desk thing". I would go to my pc for some serious gaming by myself, but if i want to play with friends on a couch, console is still the way to go. |

You poor sod.:hmmm: Suckered by the hype, were you? Fortune telling time: I see a red ring of death in your near future. It's as traumatic as a BSOD in the middle of a WASD and you'll QWERTY your britches.:03: |

Now what's the daily cost? (And I'm talking about a 'buy early' thing and suffer just out of warranty, not a wait for a small hardware change or the miracle 'fix it' video on you tube to sort it out yourself - or for those that love their console but aren't really tech-savvy beyond their dozen buttons and couple of sticks on a controller - their realistic option is either take it to a man that can, or buy new.) |
So my Xbox 360 quit working....and we got another one for $110
I'm going to ride it for all it's worth until I have to make the switch. :03: |
*slaps a 40$ pair of RAM chips into his pc*
I just saved myself 300 $ buying a console, the only upgrade in the next gen consoles is RAM. 6 gigs of ram, thats it...That is all you get for 5 years. I cannot commit to a console, PC is not totally killed yet....almost, but not yet. |
I don't see why this turned into an argument. Some people want consoles to play all their favorite games on. Some people want PCs to work on. Some want both.
I'm still using the same PC I bought in 2005 so I could play Silent Hunter III. I'm glad it hasn't died yet because I can't afford a new PC, console or anything at the moment. |
