What would you guys say are the essential mods for SH4 and UBM?

Trigger Maru, Run Silent Run Deep, and Bubbles torp fix is the basic mod set I run. If you want to play on the German side Op Monsun is a must. There are also various small fixes you can add.

My radar fix for TMO RSRD

Vicker's better smoke for merchants

Depth charge disturbance mod

My torpedo mod and depth charge mod.

I find I can't play without the above.

If you don't want something with an overpowered enemy AI, you can use this:

RSRDC_RFB_v575
RSRDC V5xxx Patch 1

RFB is Real Fleet Boat, and RSRDC is Run Silent Run Deep Campaign, a high realism traffic mod.
