[REL] Cruel_Sea Beta

Hi

Please find attached a beta version of the cruel sea mod I promised a few days back.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/7o.../Cruel_Sea.zip (Readme file enclosed)

Credits - Am very grateful to Van Jast and 11Bravo whose work I have borrowed from for this mod. And obviously everyone else.

The readme has further info but below is a good example of what Cruel Sea does - I am sailing to my patrol zone and if you look in the message screen at the bottom, contact reports are pouring in. By chance, one has just arrived telling me of a convoy in the very same block I am passing through - BE35. In the past, I would simply have drawn a line from the icon on the map northward, estimated the contact time and sailed for an immediate intercept and attack.

But with this mod, I now need to account for the fact that BE35 is something like 200 km's wide and I no longer know the convoy's exact point of departure. So I am going to need to set-up a search pattern in order to first hunt it down. And after that, I will have to track it in order to deduce it's course, before I can even start my approach. And one last thing, I have previously seen reports of a Task Force heading down from AL, but I am no longer sure where they are either...

And so with this mod, it is indeed a cruel sea in which I find myself, where the gods hide my prey, while my enemy hunts for me unseen...

PS - Let me know if you have any hassles and I hope that you enjoy it and the challenge that it brings.

Thank you :ping: I really need to lessen the convoy contacts to stay alive a little bit longer :O:
