OK, I'm sure most are aware that Adobe was hacked recently, seems to me if you want to get into a persons Adobe account you just need six numbers.

Seriously though most people have no idea why they even have passwords. At all the businesses I've worked with there is a strong push by the uneducated to have a single password that lets them access all the information assets they have permission for. Which whilst convenient actually puts their businesses at risk of penetration to in some circumstances the crown jewels of the information assets of the business. Personal security habits are an are an even bigger joke.

My morning paper quoted 'fyou' as a top twenty choice.

It's like when I see people with " " (one tap of the space bar) as their phone password.

I did, and still do, alot of computer work for businesses and individuals.
They ask me if I need thier passwords.
I tell them "If I can't crack it in a day? I'll call you."
I don't make many calls.

Have multiple passwords and then tape them underneath your keyboard so you do not forget them.:nope:

And when you are forced to change your password then just use a one up serial, i.e. password1, password2, password3.:/\\!!

Who cracked them? Must be a real egg head with a big powerful brain, those passwords are great! Makes mind look silly like...5y2A6zZ@4HT£$9n.

Must have letters. Must have numbers. Must have other charachters (- + £ etc.) No words (correctly, most obvious misspelled, backwards...). Can't be same as your username. ... If password you would like to use doesn't meet those guidelines our system doesn't allow you to select it.

Also here its requested that you use unique password in our system (not same as you use in Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, email, web forums, your favourity porn site...). Ofcourse this can't be enforced and as result is propably one of the greatests vulnerabilities.
