The Silent Hunter 2 Noob Thread
 

Hello dear captains, after an eternity away from you fine guys, I have returned.
I bought Silent Hunter 2 for a penny on GOG.com, and I would like to have some advice. What are the best mods? I already have the Aces Kampaign, but I don't know if it installed correctly. To clarify, I still get historic radio messages about the invasion of Poland and such. Will you please help me out? Thanks! :ahoy:

Welcome back to the surface matey, I no longer play SHII but you may get some help from the likes of Sailor Steve...send him a PM.

I'm right here, and as much as I hate to say it I don't remember if the radio messages are changed by the modded campaigns or not. :oops:

Pacific Aces.

That's the best mod for SH2 in my opinion.

However, you need to donate to get it. It changes the game to US subs in the Pacific.

If you are not into that kind of thing, I never did do much with the ATO side other than play stock. I tried out some tweaks but never got anything to work.

Either way you go, it's all good with SH2. :salute:
