Can't find my boat number

Feeling a bit silly here, but i can't seem to figure out which boat i'm in :)

mods: tdw ui using sh5 enhanced, trevally automation, real flags.

I've checked the captains log (which is a bit 1980's imo for a u boat captains log but whatever) and everywhere else i can think of but i can't seem to find it.

When using TDW's ui you will get messages from the BDU, the light blue ones are yours, and it will say what boat you are in.

If you need them to send you a message, send a patrol report, and that should tell you.

As stated above.
Generally you can get an idea from the numerous messages you'll get from BdU, usually consisting of "Report position and status", "BE MORE AGGRESSIVE" or "Maintain radio silence for two hours" lol

I find it listed by opening the ships journal

Just out of curiosity, are the boat numbers picked at random or are they integral to each game?

IIRC, if you are playing the vanilla game, your are assigned to U-21 by default, and you can not change it, but if you are using New UIs you can set any hull number you want using the inbuildt ship journal editor/viewer.

No.. U-21 is TDW's default number (and TheDarkWraith as Captain name btw :)) and it can be changed using OptionsFileEditorViewer.. more info in the 'How to use..' thread by Trevally..

EDIT: I haven't installed SHV again yet, so can show only in the options file, not in the OptionsEditor.. see below -
