Really dumb question: How do I delete saves?
 

Sorry if this is obvious but I don't see it anywhere in the game.
I would like to delete some of my game saves when I start a career.
I've started a career several times now as I get used to the game and I just thought it would be nice to clean things up.

Am I missing something? I can't find a "delete" function in the game.
I suppose I could just find the files on the disk and delete them but I don't want to break anything.

I also see some autosaves.. can this be turned off?

Hi mate! I was wondering the same thing. So far I manage to do that by going in my profile folder(:c-My documents, not the one where you installed the game) or simply when you SAVE in game, it will give you the option to delete the savegames that you try to overwrite.hope it helps!

I think you can delete saves from the "load game" option.

You can delet saved games in the "Save Game" menu. When you get the menu up, highlight the save you want to delet, and the delet button is on the lower right.

If you want to delete ALL your saved games, go to the SH4 folder in your computer's "My Documents" folder, open the "Data" folder, then open the "cfg" folder. Within that one are two more folders, "SavedGames" and "RichSavedGames". By deleting all entries in both folder you delete all saved games. To delete one or more saved games from within the game itself, use the Save choice from the main menu; I don't think you can delete from the Load Saved Game choice, but I've been wrong before! :salute:

You know? I haven't the slightest idea! I just automatically delete both if I want a total fresh start. I also periodically delete pictures I've taken because of the space they use.

I'm thinking you can also delete saved games from within the Capt's office, click on the file cabinet left of the desk ...

This is only a guess but I think "SavedGames" are the ones that you personally saved and the "RichSavedGames" are the ones the game itself saves. Any takers on this one?:hmmm:
