I am a very happy skipper in SH4WOTP updated to patch 1.4. I modded tmo and rsrdc along with several small mods. I love being an American skipper sinking Jaoanese ships. Okay so am I dissatisfied with my experience or do I want more. If I spend 10 bucks to update to 1.5 is it worth it in graphics, playability and all out immersion ? I am not interested in Uboat missions just the American side in the Pacific. Will I see a difference in the game? All opinions will be welcomed. bwchaney

The biggest reason to upgrade is that the best mods are all geared for 1.5 and won't work with the earlier version. Beyond that I won't venture. :sunny:

1.5 also corrects a lot of bugs in previous version.

I think it's worth it for the mods.

The mods for v1.5 are just excellent.

If you loaded Operation Monsun and OMEGU I think you would enjoy playing the German side. I sure do.

I was just getting set to download uboat missions from amazon but started to read the reviews on the add-on. Are you folks aware of the criticism in sh5. Glitchy ,incomplete, unplayable and should not have been released are just some of the comments. Even free; people suggest sh5 is not worth it. Okay people tell me why I should invest 10 bucks in that. Brian

And besides, the cost is so low for the benefits of the fixes and mods geared to 1.5. I highly recommend it.

I thought we were talking SH4, v1.5, not SH5. I don't do SH5 - can't get enough SH4 1.5 after a number of years of enjoyment.

we are very aware of the criticism of SH5, you should have been here in 2010...:D

As others have mentioned the Uboat addon is SH4 1.5, not SH5 which is a different game.

If you enjoy SH4, picking up the addon is pretty much a no brainer.
