SUB SINKS LIKE A STONE

There are so many things wrong with SH5 I'm not quite sure why I'm persevering with it, but when your sub sinks like a stone just trying to achieve periscope depth or any change in depth other than being on the surface for that matter :/\\!! (why why why did they release it like this !!!??? ) I'm beginning to wonder if it is really worth it. Another problem with the subs is that they porpoise endlessly is there a trim mechanism on the boat ?. what happened to the radio updates in previous game or the gramophone that gave it more immersion, it's more like sensory depravation . I hope they sacked the clown in chief who sent this game out .
any help would be greatly appreciated .
I haven't installed any all in one super mods yet , is this the answer? I wonder:help:

This question is over 3 years old.

They just did and we have to either get used to it and fix it ourselves or move along to GTA5:rock:

You have only complained so far, but you didn't provide any clue that might help us in assisting you :hmmm:

As a consequence, the one suggestion I can give you at this moment is reading carefully Trevally's thread SH5 Mod Guide for Beginners. It, and the other threads and posts linked to it, contain all you need to know for making your SH5 experience very enjoyable :yep:

When done, don't hesitate reporting back in case you still need for help on anything. But remember: a decisive answer requires a clear question :know:

Didn't you hear? They announced it yesterday. It's out for PC in one month.

Short answer: yes. Without mods and the generic patcher, this is a mediocre arcade shooter, not a subsim. WITH mods and patcher, this game rocks .. once you get it stable (which is completely dependand on your modlist)

Forgive my dissapointmnt

I always buy games when they hit the bargain bin I'm afraid:D because its usually by then there are patches which fix the initial problems with the game and you can then add mods to it with some confidence .
There are aspects which i like without doubt walking the length the boat even seeing water on the deck plating fill the sub compartments when your attacked and suffer damage . A couple of big immersive improvements , don't get me wrong :salute:but when they miss out the ability to even do the basics like maintaining depth even periscope depth!! I have to wonder what the hell they were doing .
I played II III & IV hugely enjoyed the mods especially GWXIII RESPECT !!!
So if I can tweak this bugger into some sort of respectable state lead on McDuff !!
can you run on one engine like SHIII stretching out patrols , hooking up with the supply boats and Milk cow subs mid Atlantic, the radio messages giving you updates on the progress of the war , the Gramphone shuffling your crew around on SHIV this was the stuff i really enjoyed if its in a super mod just show me where to pay :arrgh!:

It's all there, and I'm enjoying it as we 'speak' ;)

No depth keeping issues here .. I wish it submerged faster sometimes :p
