I have an odd bug
 

It is very rare that I run into a bug in Silent Hunter 4. I have one today however.

I came back off patrol and when I did the German High command, I am playing as a U-Boat, informed me that I have a new conning tower, the Turmumbau II.

Well when I went to check the equipment area of the boat in the maps the only thing listed was the AA guns and the emblem as items I could have on the boat.

No sonar, Metox, deck gun nothing but two AA guns and the Boats emblem. It doesn't matter which tab, Weapons, Sensors, or Mechanics no other items will show to buy or as an item already on the boat. The follow is my mods list and I never adjust them. They have been in this order for 4 months now.

The next thing I did was say hey maybe this is just how it is and all will be alright in the game. I began my patrol with the OOD saying, "Can not comply" I can dive and surface, run the AA guns. I have a deck gun but no way to use it. I can basically do everything on the boat save two things. I can not move, forwards nor reverse, and I can not use the deck gun. All commands to go ahead or reverse are met with, "can not comply". This is not a, crew to tired, issue. It is the beginning of the patrol and all is normal save the metox says it is damaged along with the emblem right off the bat.

I can repair damage but it should not start with damage nor should I be dead in the water.

Clues my friends?

Oh yeah .... and I just returned after a 174,222 ton patrol. I smell sabotage.

You have experienced the dreaded Conning tower bug. This happens every time you get a new one in Op Monsun.

Admiral are you trying to tell me to start over?

I wish they would offer you one and at least allow you to decline it.

Can something be changed in the cfg file to restore the boat to working order?

I have heard of conning tower not being there any longer in some threads but my con is there and I can function everything except some semblance of speed

I'm just letting you know that this bug happens every time you get a conning tower upgrade. Lurker knows about it but he stopped modding before he fixed it and no one else has tried.

Does anyone know exactly what it is the bug is doing?

I wish someone did since they would have added a patch by now.(This bug is the only reason I stopped playing Op Monsun and I want it fixed badly.)
