How to kill Windows Essentials 2012 nerve killing pop-up
I forgot how to deactivate this nerve-killing popup that Windows Essentials 2012 is constantly sending after system boot, telling you to help improve the experience by confirming you want to tick the boxes that install Bing search bar, MSN homepage and some third option. Don't want any of that, where to get rid of this popup? Think it was something in task manager, but I don't remember which entry it was.

Nobody...?
It's this damn little buggar, and it just does not take "No!" for an answer, coming back again and again. http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/9931/p25g.png |
Ah, finally found a solution. Removing
"C:\programs(x86)\Windows Live\Installer\wlsettings.exe" ended the annoyance. There was no option to switch it off, removing it was the only way. |
In the future, if nobody here can answer it, try asking your question on a stack exchange site
http://stackexchange.com/ I find the people there really friendly and effective |
Certainly there are such helpful sites. The trick is just to know them when you need them. :-? However, I did run extensive Google searches.
