Forget the ship
Need Another Seven-hundred Astronauts.

Still plenty of letters left in the alphabet for the next umpteen dozen NCC 1701's.:haha:
What would Picard do?
"Number One! Take a number two and get us the hell away from that anomaly before we get Borged!"
Engage!

You, sir are far too generous... to a fault.:haha:
I would have thrown a roll of quarters at her head just to shut her up. Ten bucks? Yeah, totally worth it.

Where did she manage to find the onesie with the barn sized gusset?

Betonov 09-03-13 07:53 AM

I'd thrown her a grand piano

I'm not saying talent doesn't exist today, but IMO great vocal talent went out with big hair in the early 90's in all music, replaced by light shows, stripper acts, etc.

Seems life today for this generation is about fake reality and who can shake their butt. I use to enjoy country music, but it's like terrible pop. Today Taylor Swift sells, but her voice is really below average. I'll live in the past when it comes to music.

The History Channel deserves a mention, nothing but fake reality redneck swamp people and pawn shops, nothing about history anymore. I can't understand how this crap thrives.

I know how you feel. I'm a bit stuck in the 80ies myself. There are still talented performers out there but they are few and far between. Most stuff is just cheap garbage that we won't remember in 5 years anymore.

I'm with you Armistead. I stick to classic rock music. In my early rock and roll days I never expected the word "classic" to ever be coupled with the word "rock" I still chuckle when I think about a comment my father made after we watched the Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan Show. He said to me: "Those guys are a flash in the pan and nobody will remember their names a year from now." :haha:
Dad was frequently wrong about a great many things. God rest his soul.

Probably only our children could answer that one.

Tribes, you may be a pain sometimes, but you're an excellent father
