Spotted that when it surfaced on Reddit a wee while ago.

I was skeptical if it was actually real.

Finding out is disheartening

I would like to "introduce" who ever wrote that letter to a Louisville Slugger a couple of whacks to the hands.Standing offer to the Canadian who wrote it.

Pretty heartless letter and there really is no excuse for writing that letter the way she did. :nope:

But we are only hearing one side of the story.

I'd be really interested to hear a justification by the letter writer, you know, "her side of the story"...

The idea of euthaniztion is a good one that I sincerely hope some good person will use on the letter writer. I really don't think the world would be worse off without that person...

While the tone of the letter speaks volumes as to the poor character of the POS who wrote it, I really can't see any reason for law enforcement to get involved. Unless Canada enforces some draconian, negative paradigm of free speech.

Oh, I wouldn't dare scar a Louisville Slugger with the blood of a self centered piece of garbage like that author either. Two words... Pinch Bar. Much easier to clean with a blow torch.

If I was to write what I thought when I saw the story I'd be banned for life here! ,what kind of person writes this and what kind of lesson is she teaching her "normal" kids :nope::down:

You mean write it a bit more diplomatically? Perhaps:
"Dear Person who lives at this address
I have an issue.
Your son is a lovely boy who it seems is challenged in some way and i, along with the majority of the neighbourhood would like to ask you very kindly if you could either take your son to a park when taking him outside, so as not to disturb this peaceful neighbourhood, or, if i could put this in the nicest and most gentlest way, perhaps consider placing him into a care facility, which would ultimately benefit all of us, including your family.
I do hope that you read this letter with an open mind and hope that we can still be great friends and neighbours.

With that version above, i mean to point out that you may be right. There could have been a much more diplomatic way in which that alleged letter was written, or worded.
However, any which way you slice and dice it, i agree with you, was heartless.

Should it have been written in the first place? No.


Well, what could the other side be?
Autism doesn't leave much room for anything else. And the family seems to be 'on top of the care given'.
I agree, we don't know much else, but i don't see much else being the wrench in this story. So far.

Don't think you'd get much else out of whomever wrote that letter.
As for a justification? Well, one could only hope.
But since it's anonymous, then fat chance of that happening.
