Which mega mod thread? I would suggest to get mods from [INF] sobers mega mod thread. Not from the Sober's Mega-Mod - Download all mods in one file!.

Reboot or redownload is unnecessary. Look for the modlist name you are activating, usually *name*.mep. My *.mep files are in the My Documents folder. Open up the *.mep file with notepad, wordpad, or some other text editor.

The error you have is caused by two things.

Same mod name listed more than once in *.mep file. Delete one and save *.mep file
OR
A blank space between mods. Delete space and save mod.

Try reactivating modslist by JSGME now.

Just tried again and on the understanding that Mike meant no spaces between the individual mod titles and/or spaces after the individual mod titles I've received the same error immediately after the SH5_7A_Conning_Fix mod has been listed as activated in the attached mod list.
I may well of screwed the mod list order up but I think it's all in the right order.

It's JSGME.exe error so I think that mods order doesn't matter in this case.. :hmmm:

Next, try this.
(I had go this route when I was disabling lots of mods. My computer was crunching away, 25% usual CPU load for JSGME, and then :/\\!!electrical power outage:dead:.) 25% usual CPU load for JSGME happens when I am removing many mods 20+, 50+ or more mods, and/or removing large mods like Open Horizons or New UIs for TDC, etc. Created JSGME errors!!!

So bottom line when all else fails: Check by using JSGME and disable all your mods. Nothing should be left behind in "Your drive letter:\Silent Hunter 5\MODS\!BACKUP folder." Nothing should be left behind in "Your drive letter:\Silent Hunter 5\MODS\!INSTLOGS" folder

Try to enable your modlist again.

If it does not work try a similar fix, like what happened to me for power outage issue, shown below.

Look for JSGME.ini in "Your drive letter:\Silent Hunter 5\MODS\JSGME.ini". Open up the JSGME.ini file with notepad, wordpad, Word or some other text editor. Wordpad works well for me since it keeps formatting, low resource usage, but powerful enough.

It should look like something what is below. Mod names can be different.

Code:

[DEPENDANCIES]
SteelViking's Interior Mod V1.2="SteelViking's Interior Mod V1.2.2 Patch""Fuel Gauge WoGaDi_SteelViking's Interior""sobers multi color mod V5""DynEnv v2.9 - 1. Main Mod""DynEnv v2.9 - 9. Sobers Best Ever Tweaks""Pascal-sh5-Crew-Uniforms""Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_Patch_1 & hotfix""R.E.M_by_Xrundel_TheBeast_1.2""sobers Lights Cfg V5 SH5""sobers Depth of Field V6 SH5"
[MODS]
Accurate German Flags=1
RemoveLogoIntroTheDarkWraith=2
sobers game loading tips V8 SH5=3
DBM Background Video=4
sobers green spinning thing SH5=5
SMission - D-Day Landings=6
Grossdeutscher Rundfunk=7
U-Boat Watch Crew Routine SFX=8

Delete everything in the JSGME.ini file EXCEPT [DEPENDANCIES] and [MODS]. Keep [DEPENDANCIES] and [MODS] in the file and save.

Retry your modlist.

Thanks Mike, it's 01:00 here and I've a big day tomorrow so I'll try your fix tomorrow evening.

From your modlist starting at SH5_7A_Conning_Fix, there could be a problem for either SH5_7A_Conning_Fix or at Fuel Gauge WoGaDi_SteelViking's Interior. Compare the *.mep file name for SH5_7A_Conning_Fix to the folder name "Your drive letter:\Silent Hunter 5\MODS\SH5_7A_Conning_Fix" Spelled exactly the same? _ did not become__? _Fix did not become _Fi?

Your eyes can be playing tricks on you when you become overtired. It has happened to me where I swear everything looked the same. Using SH5_7A_Conning_Fix as an example,
1) I have copied that name from the *.mep file.
2) Went to the folder structure in Silent Hunter 5\MODS
3) used the Rename command for the folder of SH5_7A_Conning_Fix. Performed paste command for SH5_7A_Conning_Fix.
4) Solved my JSGME problem.

Check all other names and see. Name error could be anywhere after SH5_7A_Conning_Fix. JSGME might not state the correct error since it is moving/enabling/disenabling mods so fast.

Mike thank you. I'm dead on my feet at present so I don't trust my eyes. It's the same tomorrow (who said hobbies are restful! :hmmm:) so I'll wait until my body belongs to me again.

Howdy. Had the same issue, and it was a space after a file, as mentioned

Thanks guys!
