Introduction and thanks
 

Hi guys,

new player to silent hunter 5 and submarine sims in general. Absolutely love the game thus far. Have tried some mods and I must say you chaps have some amazing talents here. So thank you for the guys who have spent endless hours slaving away to make a really good sim, even more perfect.

I must say tho, the AI does seem to be a little on and off at times. What I mean by this is, sometimes they are really intuitive and will hunt me down, depth charging me none stop, even though I was absolutely silent. Other times they are completely oblivious to me, even though I was loud and sinking many of the ships surrounding them, they just couldn't care. Is this normal? I have installed dynamic environment mod, the U boat killer AI mod as well as Damage assessment and BRF 1.3. Could these be fighting each other and causing the AI to just not care about me suddenly?

I really enjoy the BRF mod cause its more realistic letting a ship sink by flooding than me having to keep firing at it till its hit points reach 0.

Anyway, any feedback would be appreciated.

Oops, almost forgot. If you love SH V, you should try a man's sim and get SH IV with the U- boat expansion.

I'm normally the self appointed assigner of jobs to newbies at SubSim, but Jim beat me to it. I would get mad, but he picked a good one.

Lexington fire dept tradition. Newbies have to sit on the tailboard of the truck to eat meals until they are required to fix a potato soup supper. After that, if it's good, then they have earned a right to sit at the table.

So, in the light of that, and Jim's job for you, you have to sit on the stern for your meals until you fix your potato stew. And it better not be the worse 3 bowls we ever had.
