You can't equate yesteryears Statesman with today's Politicians. Today's Politican's did not write a couple of documents that are as important to American's today, as they were to the American people over 200 years ago, which you probably have not read.

We all seem to be a terrorist and need to be monitored day and night. :down: :nope:

We do live in an increasingly overcrowded hunk of rock.
Desperation abounds. Anyone can potentially become a terrorist out of desperation. Terrorism is not limited to religious radicalism.
There is nothing more dangerous than a person who has nothing left to loose.
The mind frame is: "I'm going to hell because of you, so I am taking you with me, you will not benefit from defeating me".

We really should try and care for our "fellow man" (woman, person, any living being).

Agreed, but that is not equal to a government secretly spying on us in such a way and keeping this action outside the democratic process (or what's left of it).
