Worst, most unrealistic movie you ever seen.
I mean movies meant to be realistic, not Back to the Future, or Blade, but meant to be realistic.
Olympus has Fallen is such a steaming pile of crap! I am so sure that DCs only air defense is one plane, taken out by a slow movers gatling gun, and despite the presense of a sam launcher on the white house roof, it never launches? I am 20 minutes into the movie, and it has turned into a comedy! I am so disgusted with this. I suppose this movie was meant for foreign markets, as they are the only ones who will believe DC air defenses this weak. I turned it off, one jet scrambled over the capitol, yeah, ok. Anyone else have a movie like this? You have high expectations that just fall short with "hollywood" bullcrap? Implausible, or outright silly? |
Better not let Jim see this. :)
I think anything on the Syfy channel will work for this thread... |
Far too many..

For old WW2 movies
Battle of Coral Sea 1959. It was good in the beginning, but got so silly to be so serious. I about died laughing when the US sub got trapped in the harbor and the japs sent divers down and put microphones on the sub, attached a mine and then talked to the captain telling him to give up or they blow the mine. It does have some great real war footage. http://navalmatters.wordpress.com/20...oral-sea-1959/ |

It was the second flight, a single interceptor who eventually shot the Hercules down. The White House SAM fired two or was it four missiles? (I'd have to look at my copy of the movie again to be sure). Most importantly...It took the ex King of Sparta to save the die and make amends for what he failed to do all those centuries ago :smug: |
Yeah it did fire, the invincible chaff saved them, (plot no jutsu) but not even a full squadron over the nations capital, after the first lady had been killed?
Olympus has fallen really bugs me. The old movie Stripes, with Bill Murray is more realistic. I mean, this movie deserves an award for the Biggest pile of steaming crap to ever grace a movie screen. What sickens me is this is high budget, with high budget actors. I can excuse Scyfy and Sharknado. |
there was one film about WW2 German raiders but I forgot the name.

I am in utter shock people are defending Olympus has Fallen!
*drools on himself in utter disbelief* *wipes off, and composes himself* Hollywood retardedness is seeping into me indirectly from board. Kill it with fire!:D Damn shame, Gerard Butler was great in this movie, the script was putrid though. One stupid jet over DC? jUST ONE? Lost me there, realistic, nah, Olympus has Fallen is a SCYFY movie with A listers. I would rather watch Twister again than this. Another pile of excrement. |
Fast and Furious 6

Anything made by Quentin Tarantino. :timeout:

That "negro" (in the context of the movie) Jamie Foxx got a little too much respect as a negro in that time. In most plantations he would be told to wait outside. At the same time, I do not think Quentin Tarantinos movies were meant to be taken seriously. His style was always "over the top" (dusk til dawn, pulp fiction, 4 rooms) Unlike this garbage pit I cannot let go. Olympus has Defacated, |

Stranded (2001) Just watched it on NetFlix A crew of six astronauts is about to make the first manned mission to Mars. They suit up and board their lunar lander. Something goes wrong, the lander malfunctions, crashing into the Mars. Only entertainment value is getting a laugh from the really bad acting and horible script. Cant forgot all the money that went into the special effects of making the 'red planet' red. Wow you really got the feeling you are truely viewing 5 actors dressed in Apollo era spacesuits walking around in the middle of desert through a camera fitted with red lens filter. Everything was so red it made my eyes bleed. |
Red Planet with Val Kilmer.
Pile of steaming uhhh.... "vegetables" Yeah cuz all vegetables smell like farts, and vomit, as this movie did. |
