I have an opinion, and it's better than your opinion which is obviously incorrect because it is not my opinion, and nothing you or anyone else can say will change the fact that I am correct and you are all wrong!

We all have an opinion but sometimes we do not have a choice to give it.

For example, my wife is in a shop trying on a new dress (yes, sometimes I do treat her) and asks me if her butt looks big in it. No matter what I may be thinking (often about hobbies, will my team win the next game, what to eat, why is there no seating and magazines for men in female shops) I do not really have a choice to express exactly what my opinion is on the said dress because a married man just needs to answer with what his wife wants to hear to her rhetorical question. So saying "no, honey, you look great" and withholding my opinion means the shopping trip is a success and I get home on time to watch the game on TV.:arrgh!:

Having an opinion holds no respectability in itself. Whether or not somebody can give understandable reasons for it or not, is what it is about. I refuse to take somebody serious already for claiming that he has an opinion. His reasons, and his ability to explain these or not by himself - that earns him my tolerance even for what I may not agree with, or not; and what earns him my respect or not.

Too many people too often mistake opinion for mere belief.

The problem with this present age is that it's to easy for anyone to give an opinion on anything. Way to easy.
