Problem with torpedo patches
Hello fellow skippers!
I've been having issues with TDW's torpedo patches: nearly all my torpedos end up as circle runners (¬10 out of 14). I read in one of the forum threads (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...=204909&page=2) that if I'm using the FX update then I need this mod to make my torps compatible with the torpedo patches. FX Update torpedoes (modified for torpedoes patches) However, I also read in another thread that its already been included in the latest exe patcher. I'm a bit confused as to what to do now... EDIT: I tested the game without mods and with mods, the same issue recurs, so I think its to do with the patcher. Or maybe I'm not playing it right. I usually use T1s at max speed. Get the FX Update torpedoes (modified for torpedoes patches) here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/cc...s_patches).zip and activate after New Torpedoes Explosion - FX Update add-on.
Don't forget to activate all patches related to torpedoes in TDW generic patcher :up: |

It should be mentioned in red (or yellow) at the end of first post of TDW generic patcher...or maybe a readme inside the generic patcher...just my 2 cents:03: |

Actually i did try to read the notes and files subsections of the torpedo patches. I double clicked too like you said, there was nothing there. There are some other mods in the patcher's folder, do I need to install them too?
Edit: Sorry i misunderstood your earlier post, I thought you only meant to double click the notes sections, not the files. I think I've got it all done now. I disabled all the mods and added the new entries to the /data/menu/menu.txt file and went though the sub config files and added the [electrical engine properties] to all of them (with the engine ratios) and i've added all the mods in mods folder of the the patcher folder to my mods list (activated last). Does that cover everything? |
