Player stabbed, referee dismembered over soccer quarrel in Brazil

Quote:

The argument started over a red card. It escalated when the referee fatally stabbed the player.
It ended when the player's enraged family members stoned the referee to death and dismembered his body.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

From the story, it sounds like the ref was carrying a knife during the game.

I like soccer/football a lot, but crikey! :nope:

What a horrible loss to both families... over a game.

Oberon 07-07-13 07:38 AM

Wars have started over football...well, a war...

Jimbuna 07-07-13 09:35 AM

Nowhere near worth the killing of anyone but goes to show how crazy the Brazilians can get over a game of football/soccer :nope:

Should be an interesting time for all the fans visiting for the world soccer cup next year in Brazil.

Just crazy. What kind of ref carries a knife during the game? :nope:

Terrible way to lose a family member.

In the Netherlands a referee has been killed by a mob of amateur players not long ago too. Seems that violence is getting more and more of a problem.:timeout:

So which goal keeper is England using for the World Cup? Is it the same one from the last one? The one that lost to the US:har:?
I think yousa guys should use that goalkeeper again, then we'll see some riots.:D:03:

Jimbuna 07-07-13 03:14 PM

Really...I thought you had a lucky drawer, then got knocked out of the competition first :har:

Oberon 07-07-13 03:17 PM

The Brazilians would dismember me if I told them my opinion of soccer :O:

And so would the English, Germans, Bosnians and Spanish
