Will we be contacted then?

Yesterday I saw or should I say re saw ST-First Contact

When watching it I remembered that I should have searched for the word Warp speed on the INTERNET and see what Wiki had about this sci-fi stuff

I then ran into this article from NBC NEWS

When reading it I thought

Will we be contacted then, by some Vulcan-like alien or is it just Sci-fi?
