Paris and then La Rochelle!

I came from the boat at the port, today and will in the next week to go to Paris, and then I hired a car to take me down to La Rochelle (480km) where I live in a house by the sea...:)Biscay, offers good environment and recreation, then I will go around a bit to see harbor scenes in the movie Das Boot along other things  I wish everyone in SubSim a good and happy summer :sunny:

The scariest part was being driven up a mountain dirt track in a bus to the 6550 foot take off point :o

The dual paragliding part was easy :smug:

Unfortunately, there is practically nothing any more to see in the old U-Boat base in La Pallice.

The buildings belong now to the harbor authorities (and no more to the French Navy).

Same thing in Lorient : but here, visits are organized (mainly in Keroman III). It's even possible to go on the top, near the 3 Flak positions (clearly visible on the picture inside my sig).

But while threading, one can enter and see the U-Boat cells ... But in La Pallice, what is unused by the harbor is now sealed.

Brest always belongs to the French Navy : so, out of limits !!!

At all events, good stay in France, Vendor !

Cheers.
