James Gandolfini (Sopranos) dead at 51

BBC News

I just got the message and I'm heart broken, I loved that guy for his incredible talent and his calm and charming attitude he had in interviews.

Rest in Peace James, you left us way too soon...

I haven't seen much of his work....

Sad news he was pretty good in some of his work and he did much to support veterans. He was nice guy and not snobby like some actors are.

Bloody hell :o

Now there's a loss for the entertainment industry

I've seen a bit of his work. Sopranos, Killing them Softly...mainly films where he plays a hard-a**.

You know, i always imagined him to be a hard-shelled, no-nonsense and possibly a little arrogant type of person in real life.
But after reading a lot of condolense notes and letters online from other people who had met him, friends etc, quiete the opposite was the case. Caring, approachable, kind,
helpful...

Shame to see his passing. He was working on a piece called Sacco and Vanzetti.

Sacco and Vanzetti were real life anarchists who were executed in the US in 1927 – the Italian immigrants convicted of murder in a high profile trial which is today considered a miscarriage of justice.

RIP Sir.

I never watched "The Sopranos", but I loved his role in the movie "Get Shorty" where he played an ex stuntman named "Bear". You never know when your time is up in this life. It can happen at any time. This guy was younger than me, too young. Sad.:nope:

RIP. Sad to see anyone die so young.

RiP James. A great loss.

It's still my favourite show, and i still think 'Pine Barrens', which was on during the week, is a near perfect hour of TV. Having said that i'll rate any of the episodes where tony spars with Livia or Janice as pretty near perfect too. That's two women who are scarier than any of themselves hoods in the show.

Wow, that's a shock. Loved him in The Sopranos and it seemed like he was a decent guy in real life. Such a shame, far too young.

Sad loss of an amazing talent with what appeared to be a very promising future career.

RIP James

He was fantastic in In The Loop

He's got his little cannons and he's got his little guns, and... This is the problem with civilians wanting to go to war. Once you've been there, once you've seen it, you never want to go again unless you absolutely ****ing have to. It's like France.
