Removing boat from map

Is there any way to remove the circular icon that shows the ships position from the map? Id like to do a patrol where I sail without automatic plotting of where the boat is.

Is this possible? Does a mod exist for it?

how are you playing stock game or with a megamod? if with a megamod please mention which one.

Hey JayStew, altered my "HideMySub" mod for OLC. It should now work for the stock game/GWX. Let me know if you have any dramas.
