what files control crew vulnerability

Running TMO with RSRD and Traveller mod.Loving it, esp that can actually pull off realistic night surface attacks but major problem is crew is far too vulnerable, ever when inside the sub.I had 3 torpedo men KIA inside the torpedo room but automatic gunfire last patrol(ended with 6 ships sunk for 30k tons) , took the odd round here or there while scooting off after night surface attacks. No large caliber hits, talking fire from the AA guns on the merchants and an escort trying to catch up to me.I could see occasional deck crewmen being injured or KIA but inside the sub from this? not. This is annoying as crewman are not exactly cheap to replace either.Little annoyed as it hurts the realism factor which is greatly enhanced.Crew inside subs also gets hurt or KIA even when strafed by enemy planes, again its a bit much.

Traveller does not seem to be around currently so anyone know what files to adjust? I am clueless but would appreciate any help.

Also how do you adjust the renown new crew costs?

I'll try bubble, but not sure how Trav did things, but a couple files to compare to say TMO.

Data/UPCData/UPCCrewdata/UPCCrewMembers. Look for the hitpoint line for each crew. I believe Trav set each crew member much higher than TMO. You'll also see a line to set renown and other values for how long it takes to heal, etc.

Data/UPCData/UPCUnitsData. Think these values are for exposed slots, watch, guns, etc..It's been awhile, so you'll have to find exact values. Open up one of the subs and look for values like hit points and crew exposure. I would think crew exposure for each compartment would come into play, so compare Trav's values with TMO.

If you mod it, make sure you start with Trav's files as your base unless you want all of TMO's values, then just copy TMO's files you want, mod it and run it over Travs.. Maybe that will get you a start.

I would try adjusting the armor values first. The armor value is what determines how much hits on the outside affect what is on the inside. Or maybe the shell AP values are too high?
