Why is SH3 Commander Overwriting my deck gun setting?

So I tried to run a mod to make the deckguns work in all weather. I also because it kept resetting and I couldnt figure out why, I stopped using that mod, and just modified the file myself, set the file as readonly.

Now when I launch from SHCommander it is overwriting this line

StormConditions=15,1;max wind speed [m/s], max rain intensity [0,1] with this...

StormConditions=11,0.4;max wind speed [m/s], max rain intensity [0,1]

how do I stop it from doing that?

Did you roll back Commander before making the changes? Do you have Commander set for 'Auto Rollback'?

From the SH3 Commander User Guide:

Quote:

In order to avoid any potential file integrity problems, it is imperative that you ALWAYS perform a rollback BEFORE:
· enabling or disabling any mods, either via JSGME or manually;
· uninstalling or reinstalling Silent Hunter III;
· uninstalling SH3 Commander.

are you sure its SH3 commander and not another mod?

So I need to roll back before starting a patrol?

I'm almost positive its SH3 Commander, because when I start without using it, just clicking the exe the file remains unchanged. Idk what or why its doing .

You need to roll back before installing the mod.

You should just set it for "Auto-Rollback". It will then make sure that everything is the same before each patrol.

I will try autorollback see if that fixes it. Thanks
