Neutral Ships Showing as Enemy in Enemy Port
 

So I just snuck into Newcastle (Tyne, whatever) on a sneaky night raid to use up my last torps before refitting. Got 4 merchants spotted, all showing up as red map contacts but as I get closer I see their flags: 1 Swede and 3 Norwegians. Now unless I'm very much mistaken, Sweden remained neutral throughout the war, and Norway was neutral up until Operation Weserubung in April '40.

So is these guys showing up red a bug (as they're clearly neutral) or am I actually allowed to sink them (as they're clearly trading with the enemy)?

If they're marked red you should be alright, but the best way to tell is go ahead and sink one and check your renown afterward. Be warned though - ships in port don't always sink.

How do I check my renown? I think the only place I've seen it is on the upgrades screen in the bunker.
