German voices for SH4
 

Is there a way to get German voices for SH$? I saw the Das Boot sound mod, but I am wondering if that mod would affect the voices for the US subs also. Are the voice files separate for the US and German sounds?

There are stock German voice files based on SH3, but SH4 does not allow two separate file sets that you can switch between. You either have one or the other. There are also many other files that aren't truly compatible between US and German boats. The best thing is to use MultiSH4 to manage separate game installations.

Sailors Steve's recommendation is the best solution that I've found, by far. I used MultiSH4 to install one copy for the U.S. Pacific Campaign, a different copy for the IO U-Boat Campaign and another copy for the OM/OMEGU Atlantic Theater Operations.

For the latter two installations, I experimented a bit and decided that ATR-42's "SH4 Uboat Speech and Sounds Fix" (v8), which is a compilation based primarily on Spax's sound fix, works best.
