Is it an option to go to the pacific and sinkl ships in SH3? I'm using GWX 3.0. And more Importantly would you be able to get there?

Yes , you can get to the pacific.
In GWX , enable merged campaign and take a IXD2.
You can reach Jakarta like that , if you survive the transit

On the other hand , I don't know if there is any trafic in the Pacific in GWX.
I can tell you for sure that there is plenty of traffic around Australia.

There is no traffic scripted in the Pacific.

Early on there was a mod to have a gato class sub in the Pacific being developed, but Ubisoft (allegedly) stopped it as they were developing SH4 at the time:/\\!!

Why is that a headbanger? SH4 is a perfectly good game, and has improvements to boot.

I fully agree. I like SH4 with mods also and the different game play.
The head banger was because of the (alledged) interference by the game developer to a creative mod which offered no real compaticion to their new game.
Especially since their flawed games live only because of the creative modders.

I started out playing SH 4 and loved it. (With Mods) After quite awhile I decided to try SH 5 and did not like it. Played SH 5 for about 3 days and liked it better than SH 4. Played it for a long time. Figured I would try SH 3. It seems like that is the game that the others are compared to . I hated it after 3 hrs. Went back and tried SH 3 again recently and really like it. Probably the dislikes come from having to relearn some of the basics.
In my opinion all 3 are different but the same, all 3 have pluses and minuses. With all the modding done here I wound up with 3 good games.
