Only found Subsim quite recently, and from what I've read so far its definitely the place to be for any sub sims fan.
First played SH3 a few years ago, just the stock game, I didnt know about the fantastic GWX ext then!
I also dabble with SH4 but so far havent decided whether to get the U boat missions ad on.

I cant run SH5 due to my poor graphics chipset ( only 64 mb) which is a shame but maybe one day I'll upgrade my pc and try it out.

I recommend, if you can't afford a new pc, get a video graphics board for the one you have. I never stay with on-board graphics.

My recommend, don't bother with the uboat addon for SH4. They don't have much in the way of campaign or missions. It is like playing SH3 but with a crew.

SH5 is the way to go. Just my thoughts.

Is this VG Board something that mounts externally or is it something you have to hook up from inside? If it's an external thing....that means I could upgrade my laptop's GPU.

Except you need the U-boat Add On to use most of the mods for SH4. If you play SH4, you don't have any choice other than to get the UB Expansion. After that, you can mod the game for U-boats or Fleet Boats. :up:
