Treasury dismisses SNP currency plan

It would appear Scotland want their cake and eat it.

I'm not really sure they actually know what they want.

Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said keeping the pound was the "common sense position supported by the facts".

Even if Scotland wins the EU has kicked Alex Salmond in the teeth as Scotland will have to go through the process of joining the EU.

My guess is that if the Jocks get independence then their currency will be Scotch Whisky :hmmm: :haha:

Which will mean we have to sign up to joining the Euro

So Fat Alex's plan A is to keep the pound and put us in the same subservient position to the UK as the PIGS and Cyprus are to Germany

Which turns out to be impossible anyway, so we end up exactly like the Irish after a few years as Oil revenues continue to decline and our social spending is impossible to continue without the UK subsidising it :har:

That's better than a fiat currency, and the longer you hold it the higher the value. They'll have to put their women in charge of guarding the stockpile. Women should also drive the cabs up there. :D
