Hello to All

Hey everyone hows it going?

First off my name is Travis. I've been serving in the U.S. Navy now for 6 years; 7 in September. Currently I'm stationed at NAS Jacksonville and have been since early 2007. I'm attached to VP-16 which is the first patrol/recon squadron to transition to the brand new P-8A Poseidon.

I started subsim games with SH3. A buddy of mine in highschool had it and we would play it for hours on end. Once i left for the navy i bought SH4 and that's primarily what i play. I just downloaded TMO and have been playing with that for about a week and so far i love it; much better than the stock game. Does anyone recommend any other good mods for the game?

The other day i bought SH5 off of Amazon but unfortunatly i think it was a re-boxed game as it didnt come with a CD key and i had no idea i needed one in order to play offline. Luckily i only wasted 11 bucks on it with shipping. Does anyone know if i can contact Ubisoft and request a new key if i show proof of purchase? Thanks for the answers and happy hunting!

Welcome aboard. I was in the navy, probably long before you were born. Now we are all in the Kriegsmarine together. :sunny:

As for SH5 mods, the best place to ask would be here

Ubisoft

Welcome. About your key problem. If you bought it at a store, I'd try to get a refund. Otherwise, it cannot hurt to contact Ubisoft about it. The game is very worth purchase, even if you have to pay for another copy.

With mods it is a good play.

For SH4, mod RSRD is about realism and campaign. Real Fleet Boat mod is about realism. I use the Fall of the Rising Sun mod with environment mods and sound mods.

Hmm I may have to try the FORS mod. Like I said Im playing TMO with the pre-pearl harbor mission mod...the name escapes me right now. I'm not too impressed with it though. The only cool part is catching the phillipine invasion fleet setting up so cruising up and down the west coast of the island chain is more or less a turkey shoot as long as you let them stop off the coast and let their convoy break formation and turn into a big cluster.

Side note, I just realized the primary mission of my squadron is ASW...irony anyone? Haha

There's 4 things I hate in this world....

1) Lists
2) Irony
2) Intolerance of other cultures
3) The Dutch

:salute: :har:

I also hate errors
