Thirty years ago we were expecting the Warsaw Pact to roll over the eastern borders every/any day. My kids don't understand what its was like living with everyone's finger on the trigger all the time. I hope they never do.

In Germany tank crewmen enjoyed getting tanked off duty by drinking great tasting German beer out of tankards.
It may have been a "tankless" job but as they say "You give some and you tank some". |
