SHIII in Win7 64bit
 

I can't get SHIII to run in Win7..:(
Any hints as to how I can get it to run?

It was installed on my games HD under the default directory.

Here is how I get it to work:

Run the setup.exe or autorun.exe from the dvd as an administrator. Install the game. Do not run the game. Load the official 1.4b patch and install as an administrator. Do not run the game. Search the web for rld-sh14.rar and replace the files in your game directory. Run the game now. No admin needed to play the game. No compatibility option needed.

And make copies after you've done what Echolot said. Then you don't have to go thru the same crap for a new install.

All that depends on you having a original UBI copy of the game. If you have a later version, it is already patched to 1.4b, and does not require the rld-sh14.rar files.:yep:

Try right clicking sh3.exe and giving it admin privelages, maybe even compatibility mode with win xp sp2

Don't install in the default directory. I use Games 2 and have no problem running SH3 in Win7 64bit. I didn't do anything special to get it to work.
