bloody annoying bug?
 

If i use my deck gun to finish of a ship i cant get my guys to unman the deck gun no matter what key i press. also if i submerge and plan another attack later on on another ship my guys are firing the deck gun whilst submerged :o and giving away my position to the escorts!!
help!!
the key im supposed to press is F5?

Face the Officer on deck (Watchman) and Click on him. A menu will pop up; Order hime to Un-Man the deck gun. F5 is really good for manning the gun, but I too have had problems un-manning with hotkeys, I always use the watchman to clear the gun.

If you use the SH5 enhanced UI you can click on your Watch officer, one of the buttons is a crew on deck option (ei: man deck gun, man flaks, watch crew). Just select the watch crew and they will go back to the bridge.....:up:

If your on the deck gun it's self, the crew usually won't un-man the deck gun.

But the question now is, were you on the deck gun?

I've never had a problem with using F5 to man or unman the deckgun. But you have to 'unman' yourself in order to use F5 and get the crew below deck.
