German Translation OM-OMEGU
 

For all German speaking fans of Operation Monsun and OMEGU:

I am working on a complete German translation of the MOD-combination OM-OMEGU and it is very well advanced (No Speech).

2 Questions:

1. I sent a PM to lurker some weeks ago to see if this is OK with him but no answer. What should I do?

2. Anybody interested to test it? It's already fun to play but some things turn out a little funny and some things I could have overseen. It's a lengthy progress to test it since some phrases only show up in certain game situations.

If the only thing you're changing is sound files, there should be no problem. If all you're changing is written files to be read in German, there should be no problem.

People create small mods designed to work with other people's supermods all the time. The problem arises when people change portions of the mod, incorporate the changes into the mod and then release the whole mod, calling it their own.

As long as you don't change Lurker's mods themselves, you should be fine if you release your own separate mod and label it "For use with OM and OMEGU". The only problem you should have then is people asking "Will this work with...?"

Yes please go on, I don't think that what you are doing requires special permissions, you are just doing a translation and it's unofficial. I for one woule like to have it :)

OK then, I will let you know when it is ready. Hitman, do you happen to speak German? If you like to test it now let me know.

Complete translation (including single patrols and missions) is ready! Were should I upload it so that interested people can download it?
