Location of Attack/Obs scope reticule?
Hello fellow Kaleuns,
I'm bussy making some modifications in regards to the UI of Sh3. Specifically, I'm in the process of Merging OLC's AOB rings with MaGui mod, while chaning the reticule of the Attack and Observation scope to be historically accurate. Anyhow, I am trying to find the location of two files: -The file that that contains the information of the reticule of the Attack/Observation scope. To my suprise, I noticed it does not seem to be periscope.tga? -The file that contains the information of drawing the digital bearing (appear both in OLC/MaGUI). Thank you guys in advance! |

Yes, MaGUI does have the AOB rings. However, I'm modifying them to work with the OLC Gold 6x Magnification one. The horizontal markings of the reticule are different however, and thus I have to adjust them to fit with the OLC standard.

Thanks Friede.
Found the reticules. They are located in the data/menu/OLC directory, being manos7.tga & 8 (attack/observation scope, respectively). In regards to the bearing indicator, I am reffering to the file that handles the placement (not the actual graphics file for the bearing). Here's a picture of what I mean: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/atta...1&d=1364025466 |

Alrighty, this is now resolved :)
For any future modders with the same troubles: The reticules are found in the data/menu/OLC directory, being manos7.tga & manos8.tga for the Attack and Observation scope reticule, respectively. This applies directly to MaGUI (and I assume, by extension, ACM and OLC as well). Some further periscope information may be found in the periscope.tga and obsPeriscope.tga files. Now, for the digital bearing: It can be found in the data/menu/menu_1024_768.ini file. It is specified by the following identifier: Code:
[G26 I98] If anyone is interested in the files, I am happy to upload. Sneak peek: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/atta...1&d=1364040233 |
I am also interested in non fantasy optics.
Do you plan to release those updated files? |
Hey there LemonA, yes, I am planning to release this in maybe one to two weeks time. I just PM'd makman asking for permission, so I suppose we will see after that. :)
