Pakistan-Iran gas link defies US

Initially I was confused as to why the US should be bothered or feel threatened even until reference was made to sanctions against Iran.

Could well be a sanctions buster after all.

Quote:

President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan and Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have inaugurated a controversial gas pipeline linking the two neighbours.
The US has warned that the project could incur sanctions connected with Iran's nuclear programme.

As soon as oil is being sold anywhere in the world for anything else than the Dollar currency, the US monopoly would be over - Iran had threatened to sell oil for Euro currency back then, and this was when the inexplicable hit the fan.
Iran does not really pose a direct threat to the US, but for its interests in the region.

I fear Captain Obvious is coming .. :03:

That made me remember a documentary(conspiracy) I saw a couples month ago.

in this documentary it was said that the real reason that USA invaded Iraq, was because they went from dollar to Euro.

If this is true(wich I really doubt) then Iran is heading for an invasion from US.

Now i finally read this properly.
Iran may not have a nuclear programme, be it civil or for building nuclear weapons because the West says so, ok.

Now they build a gas pipeline for energy, and .. what ?
"Building a gas pipeline "The US has warned that the project could incur sanctions connected with Iran's nuclear programme." ??

What exactly is meant by that ?
(Apart from stirring the pot once more, of course.)

1. further sanctions of what kind against Iran if they build a gas pipeline ?
(why?)
2. further sanctions against Iran comprising less help in nuclear matters ?
(did we ever help them with that ? I mean, after Chomeini etc.)
Or do we just try to threaten them for whatever reason and by any means ?

Even propaganda is not what it used to be :hmm2:

I think it may be the case that any income gained from gas sales could be utilised to fund their nuclear programme.

the energy might be used on construction machines.... that are needed to build nuke plants n stuff.

especially the Petrodollar warfare part and the Political events, not to mention the
The hypothesis

I also read that The Government of the Islamic Republic to Iran takes this theory as fact.
