Help!!!

I have just unistalled my steam copy of the game and deleted all the ubisoft launcher and all the game folders I could find on C. I am now attempting to install a CD copy of the game I just bought through amazon BUT, the "install" option when the CD boots is greyed out!

In other words, i cant intall my new purchase of the CD game, which i bought in order to use the mods.

any help appreciated

thanks

I think you should clean the registry..
you can try this tool - CCleaner

If it's anything like other SH games there will also be a savegames SH5 folder in My documents. It needs to go as well.

you also probably want to clean your registry.

CCleaner is a good (and free) tool to do so.

got it to work, but now i cant get JSME to work!!!
ive installed it in the root directory and it seems to work fine until i play the game and the mod is not there.

is your MODS folder (with all MODS unloaded) is located in the root folder, with sh5.exe too?

Troutish 03-06-13 08:19 PM

No, JSGME keeps creating one in the JSGME folder, which is in the SH5 folder. I have deleted and tried to move it into the root, but JSGME keeps creating one in its own folder

Troutish 03-06-13 08:24 PM

Hmm....should all JSGME file be in the SH5 root directory, or within the JSGME directory (which itself is in the SH5 root)

can you type out the paths?

JSGME files should be in main SH5 folder.
Once activated first time, it create a MODS folder in this main SH5 folder (wich is empty btw, as you have to copy/past your mods in it after.

Thanks, got it working fine. it was a folder problem where the extracted files were installed one level too low.
