DX90c - DixDiag showing DirectInput Error
After trying to get an old game going (Links 2003) I keep getting ctd's and this error:
AppName: linksmmiii.exe AppVer: 22.10.2.41 ModName: ntdll.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.5512 Offset: 0001aa01 Looking around I found DirectX can cause this and since I hadn't ranDxDiag for years thought I'd give it a try. I got the following screen: http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...psccabcd30.jpg Here you either answer yes or it ctd's, this is possibly the problem, however I don't know what device it could be, I checked Device manager and found that there are 2 mice and 2 keyboards: http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ps9c268cd6.jpg Could this be the problem, maybe I should disable all these drivers and reboot, but in past experience I bet I get both installed again or one with a question mark!! Any idea's?:hmmm: |
No sooner I get this up after pulling my hair out for hours and I find the problem, it was my weather station, it has a usb plug to send the data to the pc - unplug it!!!

Now you should feel really, REALLY silly about now.

It sounds like...
Winblows made an arbitrary designation for your weather equipment.
It may be feasible to go into the hardware manager and change the hardware type designator/s manually. YMMV |
