How do I get this working?
 

Ok, I got SHIII + GWX3.0 Gold installed. I can get the menu to run in a small windowed box on my screen. If I go full screen I get a crash that says can't run 3d engine or something.

I have a 30" Sceptre monitor in running in native 1920X1080 at 60hz on a Windows 7 64-bit Utimate machine with a Nvidia 790GTX 3GB card. Also have 12Gb of Ram.

I know this game is locked at 1024x768 so I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to get this game to run at a resolution my monitor can support. Running it at 1920X1080 would be really awesome if that's possible. I've used the widescreen mod on here and got the game to run in full screen (1920X1080) but most of the screen was black with the game running in a box in the lower left corner. Also when I try to start the game after it says, "Not so long ago" the game comes up paused and the screen is in black except for the UI icons at the bottom of the screen. I try to unpause the game and it just re-pauses and the screen stays black. Please help me if it's possible. Thanks.

Thanks! That got the game to load up in full screen but I still can't play it. I just get a black screen with the word "game paused" I only see the officer icons and the stuff on the left side of the screen slides out fine but I can't unpause the game and get a 3d render of the game world.

Sounds like the time compression section of the main.cfg in your My Documents/SH3/data/Cfg is corrupted or missing. Copy the one in located in the games data/Cfg/Main.cfg and replace the one in your My Documents Main.cfg.

Take all your mods off and try run it from scratch and see if that makes a difference.
