using aob rings in MaGui final version

What is the use for the red x and red s marks on the innermost ring on the the attack scope?

The S is used in calculating the speed of a target, after measuring the time it takes for the length of it to pass through the periscope center line. Line up the time in seconds (inside of outer scale) to the length on the outside of the outer scale. Then the speed in knots should be opposite the S-marker. But make sure the periscope is pointing forward or backwards when you are moving. Or make sure you are not moving if you have to do it while looking to the sides. Or else the result is garbage.

This movie shows how it should be used ("Original OLC GUI Video Tutorial", 16m20s to 20m30s), but it is about the OLC Gui mod, which Makman's was based on: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1112

(see the image in the first post of Makman94's Magui mod Final: 100 meters in 100 seconds is 1 m/s, which is equal to 1,94 knots: http://i965.photobucket.com/albums/a...phere94/10.png)

The X is used to line up apparent size of the target when using the low power magnification. But I forgot how to do it, even though I developed the technique myself. Isn't this described in his documentation?
