All I needed was some proof and I think I may have found it

Like many atheists, I am open to proof that may change my mind. I may have found it.

BRADENTON, Fla. - Faith can be found in all sorts of places -- even on a case of Corona beer, according to one man from Bradenton. That's where he says he discovered an image of Jesus....but that's not all.
We've heard these stories before; pictures of Jesus appearing on fruit, potato chips, and in one case -- even a sting ray. But this seems to be a new one.

It was an out of the ordinary discovery during an ordinary walk, says Bradenton resident Fred Truluck. “I was on my way back from walking my dog, and looked to my right. There on the ground was a fish.”
Actually, it was a section of a Corona beer case, in the shape of a fish.
Truluck, a devout Christian, took the case home because of the religious symbolism of the fish. That doesn't even compare to what he discovered next. “I had it on the table, turned it over to the back, for some reason, and I said, ‘Wow! There is Jesus!’”

The inch-long white marking shows what Truluck says is a profile picture of Jesus. “It's right there; a kindergartner could see it.”

We wanted to see what Joe Davis sees. He's an assistant pastor at the Church of the Palms in Sarasota. “I don't think God goes and draws his face on a carton of beer.”

Davis is happy the image provides Truluck with feelings of faith and hope, but believes and preaches that God is found elsewhere. “If you are one of us that believes in the God of the Bible, the scripture teaches more is that God would rather show his image through the works and love of his people than interact in the world.”

As for Truluck, he thinks the world of his new find. “Excited as I could ever be.” He says he plans to frame the case and keep it in his home. He hopes to one day hand it over to his children.

An acrostic shaped Corona beer case with a tiny smudge that looks (kinda) like Jesus.

Might just seal up the deal for me. :yep:

Why would the creator of the universe put an image of himself on a beer case?

Same reason that intelligent life would travel millions of miles from some distant galaxy to this planet to make crop circles and abduct people from trailer parks.

Just sayin'. :03:

Yep.
That's Jesús C González all right.

I don't know. I read it in a book somewhere.

I believe in God but I don't make a habit of getting into religious discussions. I see God everywhere in the works of his hands. The wonder and complexity of the universe and the world around me. All his doing. Then comes religion, which I see as the works of men. I have little faith in men, who are easily corrupted. So I will be in the world but not of it.
I can't even say I love Jesus because I haven't met him yet.
There is nothing more complicated than perception and people tend to perceive what they want to or need to.

I'll leave it there at risk of sounding judgemental. That's not my purpose in life.

Seems legit.

There are other worlds more advanced than ours and there are other worlds not as advanced as ours, but there is only one world with the cross that the son of God most high hung on paying for all of the sins of those that believe.

You can't even come to God unless he calls you ...

If you can't hear him calling you that's fine, just fine,
no need to argue about it, no need to cry, no need to joke about it.

If you don't feel guilty then I wouldn't even let it enter into your mind :know:

That makes you agnostic, not atheist.

You can be atheist, AND agnostic, actually. Also, he is right, atheists are NOT dogmatic, they simply require the same evidence they'd require for any other decision of importance to make a decision. I am not "agnostic" about you being able to fly like superman, for example, I simply don't even think about it until you demonstrate that ability to my satisfaction before I entertain it.

The the post-enlightenment era, "theism" usually denotes a god that interferes with humanity and demands worship, vs "deism" is a god that made the universe, and remains unknown to his creations, and is in fact beyond knowing. I doubt even that, but it is impossible to discount, so I am agnostic to that, and atheistic, in that I think that every theist belief I have been exposed to is patently counter to reality, or not revealed---to ME. The so-called revealed religions (christianity, etc), are not in fact revealed, they are claimed to be revealed to someone other than me, and are just hearsay.

I find such things funny, of course - but to think people fight for such bull .. Ok Wonders happen, and some people see the light if they open a bottle of beer.

But if i see him .. how can i know it is him ? How did Jesus look like ? Did he even have a beard ? Or long hair ? Or short ? Was he blond ? Big ? Small ? Thick ? Black ? Did the historical figure exist, and why not in the time frame the bible tells ?

I always have to laugh at those medieval churchly paintings, where some 'Jesus' stands in a medieval (!) fortress, or being accompanied by followers wearing clothing being used a millenium later, with the appropriate face makeup. Of course, painters had to place the scenes on contemporary ground, to make it understandable to the people of the time, or their own screwed-up perception of how "it" was.
Maybe if we ask creationists, he rode into Jerusalem on a dinosaur ?

Can i have a photo from Jesus please, just to compare ? :hmm2:
Thanks, i thought so.
