My loading screens

Being tired of the loading screens etc I have made some of my own for your viewing pleasure (or not, as the case maybe) :D

Took a screenshot of a loading bar from another mod to change the intro screen etc.

First loading screen at beginning of the game (Intro TGA)

Plain version

Second loading screen for changing when bored with first one (Intro TGA)

This is the screen that comes up after you choose to go on patrol and are getting info on your grid etc (Map TGA)

Also put this one on for a while to read the war newspapers as the game loaded

I put this in place of the barracks background (when choosing your crew) the colours make it easy to see the icons etc.

Absolutely beautiful! It's been a long time since we've had some new screens, and yours were worth the wait.

Downloads?

Also, quite some time ago I created a 'Loading Screens' mod using existing screens at that time and SH3 Commander, and added in 25 different marches for the dockside band to play at random. You can get it here:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=2822

The good news is that some of the screens in the mod are repeats and some are not as good as others, so yours can be slotted right in.

Thanks Steve, praise indeed.

Is there a post on how to upload directly to subsim?
Or must I create a file from an outside source first, if so which is best to use as I have never done that before?

Thanks in advance
john

Send a PM to Neal Stevens. He will make you a 'Modman', giving you access to the Downloads section.

Looking great :D

I love the one with the depth gauge and a U-boat and the pic with the maps. Definitely downloading this one when you get it uploaded.

Thanks for the kind words

I have uploaded first file now in graphics section for the intros...please read the readme contained within.
Download a free tga viewer such as Irfanview from the net to change or manipulate as you see fit.
The files are in tga format so maybe paint shop pro to view to see if the are correct for your resolutions etc before replacing your originals.

Regards
John

You should consider starting a thread in SH3 mods workshop releasing your mod. I could have missed this mod if I had not been vigilant. I think it's easier to spot new mods in SH3 mods workshop.
