If a car driver would do that and would try to conceal his share of responsibility in an accident he had caused, he would be in conflict with the law. |
Agreed....who is responsible for the 'cover up'?
I should imagine Alitalia are too embarrassed to be associated with Carpatair. |
nono, this is different.
If an UPS dude wrecks his truck, and then paints up the logo (lol) it depends! if he stands by his actions and consequences, him and the law and the Victim, then all is okay. if he tries to evade his responsabilities, then he is in deep do-do. "Do the responsible people try to evade consequences" that is the question to be asked. "do they hide they faces behind a jacket" is not an important question - because it is known who is the responsible party. painting over a logo after a crash is a common thing. as is hiding behind a jacket when entering/exiting the court. it is an act of fleeding the public eye and or the media. avoid even further "bad Rep" |

I think it already has backfired. The PR they wanted to avoid - has now multiplied. |
I know a 216 Sqn liney drove some steps into the tail of an Alitalia MD-80 at Ancona, iirc the 'cash' cost was around £100k (±30k) to keep fuss to a minimum (ahem, I mean - repair quickly).
I don't think I blame Alitalia for wanting to keep PR on the good side, they're just a bit unfortunate to have been caught out. They shouldn't have plastered it with Alitalia if they didn't want to be associated with it. Or, if they wanted they could've just opened up a new carrier like some of the British ones did, maybe call it Alitalia-Bambino. :hmmm: Before - http://www.flyrelax.com/images/YR-ATS2.jpg |
