A little calculator to see how your price of petrol (gasoline) compares throughout the world.

I want to move to Venezuela where to fill my car would cost just 67 pence - that's only half a litre here! :o

Geno_Mariner 01-30-13 10:59 AM

Australia isn't in that list :stare: How dare they.

Today, I went to a petrol station that had their E10 Unleaded at around 129.something cents per liter. Had nearly half a tank with $25 AUD.

I totally want to move to Venezuela too

I don't need a calculator, as I just filled up this morning at $3.35 per gallon which from what I see around is average for my area.

AVGWarhawk 01-30-13 11:30 AM

I average about $3.25/gallon in my area. Regular.

geetrue 01-30-13 12:01 PM

Just drove by the one gas station in this rural area: $3.89 was posted

but I only use $20.00 a month anyway

warning to the wise keep your gas tanks full not because of price
due to sludge and slosh ...

keep them full :yep:

Yesterday in Shell gas station diesel was €1,504/litre ($1,966/litre) and based on that calculator that would be €0,75/litre ($0,995/litre) in US. Those are about $7,44/gallon and $3,77/gallon respectively. Cheap! :nope:

Btw petrol was €1,640/litre at same time in same station...

Tchocky 01-30-13 01:03 PM

Well, the Netherlands is sitting right at the top of that list - should tell you all you need to know.

kiwi_2005 01-30-13 02:58 PM

$2.99 a litre

Apparently Canada, one of the leading oil producers' doesn't make the BBC's list. :haha:

$1.19 per litre.

Takeda Shingen 01-30-13 05:53 PM

$3.38 US this morning around 7.

Maybe so but you'd probably be unable to afford the purchase price for a car over there (Venezuela) according to this evenings news (bangers we would normally scrap are fetching 25,000k).

$1.35/l in Sydney for petrol. My diesel costs $1.49/l.

Diesel down here is around $1.47. Unleaded's at $1.37 since yesterday.

I do recommend Echance petrol stations if any of you Aussies have it nearby, they have petrol cheaper than most stations (around the price you would get from Woolies/Coles stations with their discount docket).
