TMO bugged?
 

Trying out this TriggerMaru_Overhaul_2-5.7z with SH4 1.4 and I get to 90% on the loading bar then a plethora of error messages. Is TriggerMaru_Overhaul_2-5.7z the whole smash or is there something I need to install before it? Or does 2-5 require SH4 1.5?

Generally what I'm getting;

There is a new (not implemented) page: <Page ChooseLoadSave> !

And on and on. Downloading TMO 19 now to try that instead, AFK for a few hours.

I think you need verion 1.5 for TMO 2.5, in download page is mentioned that 1.4 is not suported
I never havee errors for TMO only, sometimes after added other mods
Or try to download TMO again, maybe first version is coupt

there are special downloads of TMO for v1.4 game but make sure it says its for v1.4

almost 99% of all mods are made for v1.5 and will only work for v1.4 if they specifically say they do. they might still run but you will have strange issues with them.

No, it doesn't say that on the download page, but it does say "for 1.5" in the manual PDF file. It SHOULD say it on the download page, too many of these mods for 1.5 don't say they require 1.5. So I'm downloading TMO 1.9 now, that also doesn't specify a patch number required.

Deleted that copy of SH4, made new copy of SH4 1.4 unmodified, installed TriggerMaru_Overhaul_19.7z

Same error messages, I got a F:\ubi2\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Menu\Data\black.tga but no black80.tga. I assume the black80.tga comes from the 1.5 patch, which I can't spare the cash for until winter heating bill season is over. Anyone who's recommending this TMO have a version that does NOT require 1.5?

1.9 also needs SH4 1.5 or Gold

I'm not sure but you may have to go back to 1.7 and I'm not 100% sure it works, but quite a few people stayed with 1.7 for some reason. (Edit - do need 1.5)

I recommend upgrading to SH4 1.5. - I don't play the U-Boat side if that is what is stopping you from upgrading. So many improvements for the American Pacific campaign.

Don't see a 1.7, altho there is a hotfix for it;

Which mentions SH4 1.5.1 so I would assume that also requires 1.5. Only other version I see;

Is 1.4, which also doesn't mention any patch number requirements. Have to wait to download that anyway, with all the wrong versions and patches and manuals I've exceeded my download limit for today.

In the mods forum is a link for all 1.4 megamods. I pasted these for you.
Versions after these are for 1.5

Note that TM-1.7.6 or the original TMO (for 1.4) will work with RSRDC V370.

AFAIK the download limit timer is 24 hours from when you reach the limit so if you limit out at 3pm then you can start downloading again tomorrow at 3:01 pm

Cool. So before I overload again is TMO 1.4 for SH 1.4, or does that also require SH4 1.5?

Those are the links in the Subsim DL site, obvious out of date. I'll see if I have a copy of old TMO, etc., and see if we can get working links back up. I bet Steve has a copy, but I'll check.

yes TMO 1.4 is for version 1.4, thats what the 1.4 means.

IIRC ducimus started using numbers for TMO when he went to v1.5 and before we had v1.5 it was simply refered to as TM (trigger Maru) and then the next version was called TMO (trigger maru overhauled) then with v1.5 i think he started with v2.0 and worked his way up to v2.5

Okay, downloading that one now. I will buy that 1.5 U-boat mod eventually, at the moment every spare nickel is going into winter heating bills. 49 more days til spring. :sunny:
